chairliftsso i went night snowboarding the other day,
it was AMAZING! i cant wait to get back to keystone and ride in the dark again!
where im at night skiing is not available everywhere, its not available at the mountain near my place so we had to go to Keystone, a different skiiing place thats like one hour away. ok maybe about 45 minutes. its like going to KL or Sunway from Klang. but with mountains, lots of mountains. and no traffic.
ANYWAYS,
night skiing is a different exp from the usual all together.
no we dont ride in total blinded darkness. the runs are lit up with street lamps, but in this case i guess its called mountain lamps? so we ride around in the dark but the light lit the way. u get what i mean? and i guess what made it so much fun is because its a different mountain, a different course, different terrain - sth fresh.. i LOVED it! we all did!
i could feel adrenalin shooting out of my ears! if u drill holes on the top of my head a fountain of adrenalin would probably gush out of it. like one one of those huge water pipes with a crack. i was able to go faster, faster than usual. i think this new board that im using helped alot- it made me go faster, smoother, lighter, it made me feel braver. unlike the crummy rental boards that are well, crummy.
its so amazing guys i cant describe it! we could only do 3 runs down the mountain by the time the gondola's stopped taking us to the top but it was 3 very good, really awesome runs! i felt satisfied by the end of the day... like i accomplished sth. and yea, the best part is i feel myself improving! WOOHOOOO NO MORE HURTING MY ASS!!
ok not really i fell on my bum so many times but im getting better XD
snowboarding is one thing that im really gonna miss when the season is done, the mountain's closed, the elks roam, and im back home.
i guess we have beaches at home...
sandboarding, anyone? lol
when i came to US, never in the world did i imagine that i would be night snowboarding with an american, an argentinian, and a south american.life's good. :)
overlooking the mountain that divides the state...
and we went to Beaver Creek
(another mountain) in the morning... more good runs :)
love much guys!! miss y'all!!!
